Signamax Connectivity Systems’ 100BaseFX Singlemode to Multimode Converters provide efcient

solutions for interconnecting multimode ber LANs over longer distances by integrating singlemode ber

optic cable into the LAN. They also enable Ethernet LAN and WAN connectivity, by providing a multimode

interface to singlemode ber carrier demarcation points. Each Media Converter is enclosed in a compact,

strong metal case and includes an external power supply for stand-alone applications. They can also

be installed without modication in the Signamax 065-1185 Rack Mount Chassis system, featuring

redundant power supplies for high reliability in multiple converter installations.

Signamax Connectivity Systems’ Gigabit Ethernet Media Converters make it simple to extend distances

over multimode or singlemode ber. They are designed to expand the scope of your Gigabit Ethernet

network applications and are 100% compliant with Ethernet IEEE 802.3ab and 802.3z specications.

These converters maintain the same form factor as other Signamax media converters, allowing use in the

065-1185 16-Bay Signamax Rack Mount Chassis. Twisted pair to ber optic converters for both multimode

and singlemode ber, multimode to singlemode converters, and singlemode to singlemode extenders are

available. In addition, the 065-1195SFP model utilizes Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) modules for the

1000Base ber connection, for maximum exibility of use in changing network architectures.

Gigabit Ethernet Media Converters

Media Converters from Signamax are an easy and cost-effective way to establish a ber optic cabling

infrastructure within your existing network. Signamax provides a wide array of converters to support your

Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, and Gigabit Ethernet requirements. For media conversion that can work within

an existing Network Control Center, Signamax has rack mountable and chassis-based converter systems

to support clustered installations, and stand-alone managed converters to handle dispatch to outlying

locations and Fiber to the Home (FTTH) environments. Our series of unmanaged converters provides

simplicity with Link Fault Signaling, to allow managed switches to reroute when a path fails, and the

ability to force speed and/or duplex modes to work where less exible converters cannot. If small size is

a key requirement, our 10/100 to 100FX mini media converters provide high quality and small size at a

fair price.
