Selecting Text and Text Objects

You can select individual text characters or the entire text object to

apply text editing changes.

To select an entire text box

1. Select Selector from the Draw menu or click on the Draw

toolbar.

2. Click once on the text box you want to edit.

3. Complete the text format changes.

To select individual characters

1. Select Selector from the Draw menu or click on the Draw

toolbar.

2. Select the text box you want to edit.

3. Select Open from the Object menu or double-click the object. Based

on the selected object, one of the following happens:

• For text boxes and vertical text, the cursor appears within the

object.

• For Text on a Circle objects, the Text Data dialog box appears.

• For TextArt object, the TextArt dialog box appears.

4. Do one of the following:

• To select individual characters, place the cursor over the starting

point of the text you want to select. Click and hold the left mouse

button, and then drag the cursor across the desired characters.

• To select an entire word, place the cursor over any part of the

word and double-click the left mouse button.

5. Complete the your changes.

6. Click outside of the text box to accept the changes, or click OK in the

Text Data or TextArt dialog boxes.
